Terms of Use

What this site is for, what it is not for, and the one rule that matters most: where we disagree with the label on the product in your hand, the label is right.

Using this site

These terms apply to the LabelWise website at safe-choice.app. LabelWise was previously called SafeChoice; both names refer to the same publisher. By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not, please do not use it.

The LabelWise mobile app is licensed separately through the Apple App Store and Google Play under their respective terms, which apply to your use of the app itself.

This is educational reference, not advice

Everything here explains how to read food labels: what an ingredient name means, what an E number refers to, what a regulator has said about an additive, and how nutrition panels are structured. It is general reference material written for shoppers.

It is not medical, nutritional, dietary, allergy, veterinary, or legal advice, and no page here creates a professional relationship of any kind. It is not a diagnosis and it is not a substitute for talking to a doctor, dietitian, allergist, pharmacist, or qualified religious authority about your own situation.

The package in your hand takes priority

Manufacturers reformulate products, change suppliers, and update packaging without notice, and formulations differ between countries for the same brand and product name. Our pages cannot track any of that in real time.

So where anything on this site disagrees with the label on the product you are holding, the label is correct and we are not. Read the actual ingredient list, allergen statement, and warnings on the pack before you buy or eat something.

Allergy, pregnancy, medical and religious-diet decisions

If a decision matters to your health or your religious observance, do not rest it on this site. That includes food allergy and intolerance, pregnancy and breastfeeding, managing a medical condition, medication interactions, feeding infants and young children, and halal, kosher, vegan, or other observance requirements.

For those decisions, use the package label, the manufacturer, a relevant certification mark, official public health guidance, and a qualified professional or religious authority. Several additives, including E471, E435 and other fatty acid esters, can be plant or animal derived with an identical label either way, which is exactly the sort of question a certification body or the manufacturer can settle and a reference site cannot.

Accuracy and corrections

We aim to be accurate, we cite official sources where a topic needs source support, and we update pages when we find an error or when guidance changes. Even so, the site is provided as is: we do not warrant that every page is complete, current, or error free, and regulatory positions change over time.

If you find something wrong, please tell us at aarizrasheed2345@gmail.com and we will correct it. Our editorial standards and review process are set out on the About page.

Other apps and external sources

Some pages compare LabelWise with other food scanner apps. Those descriptions are drawn from each product's own public materials at the time of writing, and features, scan limits and pricing change frequently. Check the live App Store or Google Play listing before relying on any comparison here, including ours.

We link to regulators and other external sites for context. We do not control that content and are not responsible for it. Product names, app names, and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used to identify those products, not to imply any endorsement or affiliation.

Content ownership

The written guides, additive profiles, comparison tables, and design of this site are the property of LabelWise unless otherwise credited. You are welcome to read, quote briefly with attribution, and link to any page.

Republishing pages in bulk, scraping the site to build a competing reference, or presenting our material as your own is not permitted.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, this website, including decisions made about purchasing or consuming any food product.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site changes. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
